Hello [FIRSTNAME]
Announcing the first edition of the LES PTA eNewsletter!
We are very excited about this new communication vehicle to you. We hope you like it as well. This eNewsletter will be distributed at least once a month and will consist of upcoming events, new articles published to the LES PTA Website (http://les-pta.org) and any other important information.
We are looking for a catchy name for this eNewsletter. LES PTA eNewsletter is too "typical". If you have a suggestion to name this eNewsletter please send it to eNewsletter@les-pta.org.
We would like to hear from you. How are we doing? What could we do better? Why are you a friend, or member, of the LES PTA and what can we do to involve your friends, neighbors and other family members? Do you feel involved? Would you like to get involved in a committee? Whatever is on your mind, please send it to AskThePTA@les-pta.org.
Urgent: Volunteers for the Book Fair are needed. Please contact Heather Pishka at bookfair.org if you can help.
We are looking for committee members for the following:
- 4th Grade Celebration,
- Board of Education / Board of Finance,
- Campbell's Labels / Box Tops for Education,
- Childcare - PTA Meetings,
- Childcare - Parent / Teacher Conferences,
- Playground,
- Sunshine
Please contact an LES PTA Executive Board member if you would like to participate on a committee.

Fall 2006 Professional Program
The LES PTA Professional Programs Committee is very excited to sponsor Bill Harley on November 20, 2006. Bill Harley is a musician, storyteller, author and playwright who has carved out a reputation as one of the finest family performers in the United States. Serious and wacky at the same time, his work portrays contemporary American life, with a slight off-center bent. Harley has five children's books, over twenty award-winning recordings of stories and songs, and two Grammy Nominations for his spoken word work. In 2001, he was named a member of the Circle of Excellence by the National Storytelling network in recognition of his excellence in performance, leadership and service. In his own writing, and in his support of others, he has become a strong advocate for musical, literary, and cultural literacy for children and families.
