- Nice article in the Broadcaster regarding snacks. This is a $34k federal grant lasting for 2 years that is funding this program.
- The Read-In was a hugh success. Mrs. Star is a primo pirate ship maker.
- Over 700 people walked through the Invention Convention, which had about 60 children projects. The projects ranged from a contraption that picked up baseballs and softballs, to one that assisted with putting on a shirt.
- The school thanks the PTA for the food during the Teacher Conferences.
- The proposed 2007/2008 budget which asked for a 6.8% increase was reduced by the Board of Finance to 4.1% (roughly $384k in cuts). The school is now looking at where they can make the cuts. April 10 is the Board of Finance meeting. Typically if the budget doesn't pass then it generally goes down further.
